Bob is the Executive Vice President for the Cogentes CIO Services practice. He has over 20 years of experience in various Technical and Executive Management roles. He is responsible for and manages consulting engagements that include Business or Technology Strategy Development, Compliance/Governance, CRM and Contact Center projects, Key Process Indicator (KPI) development, Implementation Projects, Return on Investment Analysis, and others.
Bob has held multiple roles including Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer, Vice President of Information Services & Technology, Program Director, Director of Application Development and Application Development Manager with companies that include Cogentes, RSM McGladrey Employer Services, and Ceridian Corporation. He has a unique combination of expertise in Technical and Non-Technical roles within a variety of organizations and has a track record of continuous achievement, passion for success, creativity and flexibility.
As Chief Information Officer for RSM McGladrey Employer Services, Bob was responsible for the development and implementation of an overall IT Strategy, roadmap and the projects to implement the roadmap.
Key accomplishments include:
- Growing the business from $10.5 Million in Revenue to $23 Million in one fiscal year, expanding the product portfolio from 3 products to 15 products and grew from 1 office location to 4 office locations
- Completely rebuilt the technology infrastructure to support this growth; included building a world-class service center, implementation of a CRM System for organization-wide use, implementation of a VoIP telephony system, a Wide Area Network, a new Data Center operating 24x7, and replacement of 70% of all corporate desktops as they were antiquated and insufficient for business operations - all within a nine month time period
- Implementation of a Balanced Scorecard for the Technology Organization that was used to measure overall organization effectiveness in supporting the business
- Implementation of Compliance & Governance programs in support of Sarbanes-Oxley, Gramm-Leach-Bliley and HIPAA
In his role with Ceridian, Bob rose through the ranks starting in the Operations Organization, then to Implementation, Service, and Sales roles, to become the head of application development for all internal systems. Conceiving, managing or steering, Bob had a track record at Ceridian for managing multi-million dollar projects to success and introducing returns on investment that are still producing today.
Key accomplishments include:
- Delivered the ResponsePlus.net program, which has returned over $56 million in savings since inception for an investment of $10 million dollars. This included consolidation from 26 mainframe data centers down to 4; consolidation of 30+ separate databases into a single database containing all customers in the HR/Payroll business; and the first Web Based Application development that was enterprise in scope
- In order to deliver the RPN program, spearheaded the design and implementation of a new Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and development framework to support the effort - both of which stimulated the initiatives to propagate these in all parts of the organization, forming the basis for enterprise standards that are still in use
- Creation of the technology plan and overall responsibility for the BPO division which stood up a new service center facility, new IP telephony systems and a CRM system implementation in less than 4 months
- Complete replacement of legacy PBX systems in 37 locations, throughout the United States, with IP based telephony systems. These directly reduced annual maintenance and operation costs, improved employee flexibility, and provided a consistent technology platform in all locations - allowing the business to create a consistent “Customer Experience” in all locations

Bob has presented at conferences, been the subject of magazine articles and case studies on component reuse, application development processes and call center technologies, and was featured in a 4 minute video about the RPN project that has been played all over the world.
Bob holds a Master’s Degree in Music Composition as well as a Bachelor of Music Degree Theory & Composition both from Montclair State University’s School of Music in Upper Montclair, NJ.
